David Simon

David works on how neurons sense and react to cellular stresses, with a focus on the molecular mechanisms of axon degeneration. He earned a BS/MS from Brandeis University working with Eve Marder, and a PhD from Harvard University working with Josh Kaplan on microRNA regulation of synapse function. He completed postdoctoral work at Genentech, Inc. and at The Rockefeller University.

Dave since established his own lab at Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Biochemistry, NY.
