Xiaochen graduated with honors from Tsinghua University in Beijing in 2019, majoring in Chemistry & Biology. After that, he worked with Dr. Kyle Loh at Stanford's Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine as a Life Science Research Professional for two years, studying human pluripotent stem cell differentiation into endothelial cells and blood progenitors. In 2021, he became a graduate student in the Biology program at Stanford. Here, he joined the Tessier-Lavigne lab, aiming to study the development and plasticity of neural systems.
